Gift Cards in Artist Shops

Give the perfect gift for any occasion with an Artist Shop gift card! Available in values of $25, $50, and $100 USD, these gift cards will be emailed as digital codes to the recipient in branded email customized to your Artist Shop. 

How Gift Cards Purchased 

Shoppers can purchase Gift Cards from the top navigation bar of your Artist Shop. From there, they can then select the gift card amount, add it to their cart, and proceed to checkout. Artist Earnings will only be calculated when a gift card is redeemed and will not be earned on Gift Card purchases. 

How They Are Sent

Once a gift card order is placed, the customer will receive an order confirmation email including a Send it to a Friend link. From that page, they will have the option to either print out the gift certificate code and enter the recipient's email address to send them a branded email with the gift code and customizable gift message directing them to shop and redeem the gift code at your Artist Shop.

How They Are Redeemed 

The gift certificate code will be included in the email notification or on the printed gift certificate. This gift code is as good as cash and your customers can enter it during checkout in the Discount Code field. Once entered they can click Apply to deduct the coupon amount from the order total. 

If their gift certificate amount exceeds the order total, the balance will remain on the gift certificate code and can be used on future orders. If there is a balance for the purchase, the customer can choose their additional payment in the second step of checkout. Gift cards can be used in any Artist Shop or on Threadless.com. 

How To Activate or Remove

The Gift card feature is automatically activated in your Shop but can be removed at any time. In your Artist Shops Settings, toggle the Offer Gift Cards setting to OFF and save. This will remove Gift Cards as a product for sale in your Artist Shop. Customers will still be able to use Gift Cards purchased from Threadless.com on your Artist Shop.
